Role Articulation
Working as a team with the client, we analyze the client’s needs to determine the required set of skills, organizational relationships, define the required experience, and identify the other critical attributes necessary for the successful candidate.

Preparing the Brief
After assessing the client needs we prepare a detailed Search brief highlighting the specs for the position. This brief captures the nuances of the position - the responsibilities of the position, qualifications, experience required of the ideal candidate, and criteria for success. This document aids in translating the specification to the members of the search team.

Drawing the Search Plan & Search Team
Upon completion of the Search Brief, we draw up a Search Plan wherein we map the various options available to the client. Based on the Client organization and its requirement, we map the players in the specific industry segment and identify the prospective functional resource. With the advantage of being present in 8 locations across India and 5 overseas locations, we form a search team comprising of Consultants and a Research Analyst from the specific industry vertical to be a part of the assignment.

Search – Research
The Search Brief is promptly shared with other consultants in the search team for the assignment and the Research Analyst with relevant industry / functional expertise assists in identifying sources and prospects. Simultaneously, the team accesses the internal databases; target companies websites and other sources to reach out to the prospective candidates.

Candidate Identification / Assessment
The Search team assigned for the specific assignment gets in touch with the sources and prospects to identify and confirm interest of qualified individuals. During this phase, the primary anchor of the assignment frequently reports the progress to the client. The suitable prospects are evaluated by the consultant on the basis of their relevant experience, the critical attributes that the position calls for and their cultural fitment with the Client organization.

On identifying the suitable candidates, the consultant does an informal reference check on the candidates together with an exhaustive assessment based on candidate-consultants meeting before sending the recommendations on each of them to the client, along with their updated profile and the assessment report.

Candidate/Client Meeting
Upon hearing from the Client, the consultant schedules a mutually convenient meeting between the client and each candidate, and also takes care of the logistics. After each interview, the consultant takes feedback from both the client and the candidates.

Formal Reference Check
Once the client selects the final candidate, the consultant contacts individuals who are capable of providing insights about the candidate’s qualifications/experience, capability and on the softer aspects. The feedback received from the references is integrated into a reference check report and is shared with the client. As a backup strategy, the consultant has the client identify another backup candidate, who is the next best fit and nurture the relationship till the search assignment is successfully closed.

Completion of the Search
As the search comes to a close, based on the client’s choice, the consultant can assist in structuring of the compensation package. Once the successful candidate is in place, the consultant stays in touch with the client and the candidate on a periodic basis to get the feedback.
